Can't sync fitbit one

I have tried all the recommended steps (short of adding it as a new one) in order to sync my fitbit one with my android app on Samsung s4 and on my Windows PC.  Nothing has worked.  I am seeing a lot of comments on here the last several days with sync issues.  Is there a known problem or should I go get a new fitbit?  Do fitbits just stop syncing?  Mine is from 2012 and appears to be in working order...

I assume you've tried restarting your One as one of the recommended steps. However, this is known to not always work so it's worth trying that again a couple of times:

Welcome to our Community @AKay, hope you're doing great! Man WinkI totally agree with @SteveH's post. I'd also like to know if you're receiving any error message? Also, if you're trying to sync on your mobile device please make sure your Internet and Bluetooth connection are working correctly and try the following:

 

  1. Reboot the Bluetooth on your phone
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app on your Android device
  3. If that doesn't help, please try to uninstall and reinstall the app on your phone
  4. Check out if your phone needs a software update
