Cannot see active minutes onn my dashboard

I have a Fitbit One. My apologies if this question has been asked before but i couldnt find the answer either on the forum or discussion. I just found out about Active Minutes and I understand exactly what it means but I dont see any Active Minutes on my dashboard when i use my laptop. I see plain bar diagrams of my steps, floors, distance and calories. I must have got at least a few Active Minutes in the past few weeks as I joined  cardio and body sculpt classes and sometimes we had pretty strenuous movements for more than a minute. Today I synced my iphone to my fitbit One for the first time and I saw that that the option of Active Minutes is there but as I didnt do any exercise I dont see any Active Minutes. But why did Fibit not record any of the active minutes i might have gained even though I synced my fitbit weekly for these past few weeks? Where exactly in the dashboard should I be looking? Thanks a lot.

@helga55 welcome to the forums! I'll be happy to help here. Well, by what you're describing it sounds like your Active Minutes Tile is hidden from view. To verify if your tile is still hidden, please do the following:

1. From your Web Dashboard, click the Tiles icon located in the upper left corner

2. Then a menu will unfold, verify that the "Goals" is there and check the box next to it:

select tiles.png

3. This is the Master tile for your Goals and it should look like this:

Let me know if this works! Cat Tongue

Hi Miriam,

Thank you ever so much for replying. Yes I did find  the active minutes after following your instructions! It was a relief but now I have another preplexing problem which is that I get active minutes even when I am not doing much Smiley Happy Soon after i got the active minutes on my dashboard and sitting on the couch i got 12 active minutes. Yesterday I walked for 10,000 steps and got 76 Active mins even though I just walked and I am most defintely not a fast walker. I understand that to register active minutes I have to do some strenous excercise that falls out of my regular walking. Is it some setting that I have to fine tune? Thanks a lot!

@helga55 thanks for the update! Well, that's a very good question and yes, you are correct by saying that your One will recognize and award active minutes when the activity you're doing is more strenuous than regular walking, which includes everything from a brisk walk to a cardio workout or run. Also, please note, that the more calories you burn the more active minutes you earn. Check your calories graph and the more orange and green bars you have the more active minutes you will have earned. Just like this:

Calories burned equal active minutes.png

And if you feel that your tracker is showing some discrepancies, then I'd recommend restarting your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Plug your charging cable into your computer.
  2. Plug your tracker into the charging cable, making sure that the gold contacts on your tracker align with the gold contacts in the inside of the charger.
  3. Hold down your tracker's button for 10-12 seconds.
  4. Remove your tracker from the charging cable and press its button until the screen turns on.

This shall "unjam" your tracker sort of speaking, if in case it needs a little refresh, lol. This won't wipe your info, it will only help your tracker if for some reason acts up. Once you've performed the restart, keep an eye to your active minutes and let me know about the outcome! Cat Tongue
