Can I charge the one by connecting the charging cable to a plug rather than a computer or laptop?

You can. Any USB power source should be fine. Fitbit recommend that the charger is UL certified.

Welcome aboard to our Community @SunsetRunner. Just like @SteveH mentioned, you can plug your charger into any standard USB power source, including, but not limited to: a computer, a wall A/C to USB adapter (commonly included with smartphones). a DC to USB adapter (vehicle power port) To give you an example, I usually charge my Charge HR or Surge using the USB port of my TV and it works fine. Just don't let your tracker overcharged for more time that is recommended, if you are using any different source as this will reduce the life of the battery eventually.

I wish you the best of lucks and see you round fellows. Robot wink
