When I make a pot of multigrain cereal, using many grains, I would like to input this on my Dashboard as a meal. I input quantity of each item added. This recipe makes more than one serving, in fact it's usually what I use as my base for most meals for a week. But the recipe includes total calories. I need to input only the calories used for the amount I eat at that specific time. How do I do this?

Hi, @Karen8816! I'm not sure that Fitbit will let you do this easily. However, I use myfitnesspal, which I think has a lot better database of food (about 10x more) and has a really good recipe generator, including number of servings. It also links seamlessly to Fitbit to transfer meals over.

Hi @Karen8816. When I create a recipe, I usually include (for 4 or for 6) in the title to indicate the number of servings; and when I use it to post, I just use 1/4 or 1/6 of the total. That's one way of doing it.
Another way is to create a new custom food item from your new recipe. Once you have the recipe done with all the nutritional content, I log it (temporarily) to see the tabulation for the nutritional content; and then use that information to crate a custom food item for one serving (by dividing everything by the number of servings). I like this approach a lot because when I log it, instead of seeing all the ingredients that went into the dish preparation being listed individually, I see only see a one-line item. The process may seem a bit tedious, but this is something I do only for frequently used recipes; and quite frankly, once the recipe is there, doing a custom food item out if only takes a minute or two, so it's not that big a deal.
Hope this helps. Have a great day.
