Hello, i desperately need help! MY fitbit will not sync to my phone or my laptop. It is still counting steps every day. I attempted to do a reset. Plugged it into the charging cable, held down the button, and it starts a stop watch.....
I called customer service, the tech didnt really help me at all, just explained to me how to do a reset, which i already have attempted numerous times and the same thing happened, the stopwatch started..
He told me it is defective, out of warranty and i need to buy another one! Not the answer i want, they are not cheap! Does anyone have any advice on how to get my fitbit to work again.

Hi! Sorry to hear you're having trouble. That's happened to me as well several times.
When you plug it into the charging cable, is the USB end of the cable plugged into a charging block or USB port on a computer? It has to be in "charging" mode before it will reset.
How I got it to work:
1. Plugged into USB to charge
2. Pressed and held down the little button for 12 seconds
3. Let go of button and unplugged Fitbit One
I hope that helps some. If you let up on the little button it usually goes into sleep tracking mode (stopwatch).

I had been using the computer port as stated in the restart directions, i even tried the outlet. This morning i tried a different outlet and at first that didnt work, but i kept trying over and over again. i finally got it to work! so restarting the phone, turning the bluetooth on and off and doing a restart with the wall outlet repeatedly has solved my problem, thank you so much!!!!
