FitBit One - a Ghost in the Machine... it logs two sleeps simultaneously!

OK, even with the most open of minds I cannot accept that my wife can have two versions of sleep being tracked simultaneously. We looked at the sleep log for 5 September (overnight into 6 September) and we see this strange log which shows two logs which cross over. Just so you know, on the dashboard I hovered the cursor over the graphs at the same point in time, 10:51pm. The upper log (see picture below) starts at 10:49pm and shows 'Restless' at 10:51pm under the cursor pop-up information box (the graph line does show activity at that time to support this). However, when hovering the cursor over the lower log at 10:51pm the information in the cursor pop-up information box shows ' Asleep' and the graph line shows it as asleep too. Here is a picture of of the logs: Mon5Sep16-Sleep.JPG

How can the device log two sleeps simultaneously and how come at the same point in time (10:51pm) the two logs contradict themselves. Something is terribly wrong, don't you think?

Have we completely wasted our money by buying a peice of junk, or is there some rational explanation for this which has evaded both our brains?

Hey again @CobaltStargazer! 🙂

Now, this does look a little weird... It looks like the overlapping time on this one is of 6 minutes since the first sleep log started at 9:55 pm and lasted 1:00 hr which means that ended at 10:55 pm. And the other log starts at 10:49 pm.

In this situation, eventhough it's not a big overlap, that shouldn't happen. I would recommend first, trying to restart her tracker by putting it to charge and while it's charging, to press and hold the button for 10-15 seconds and it will turn off. You can just press the button again to turn it back on and see how it works for the next days. If this gets to happen again, feel free to get in touch with the Support Team and they will be happy to help you out with this.

Hi again FF

Thanks for your reply.

We will reset it and see what happens. Something else is wrong again today with the tracker log. She logged sleep Sunday night (to Monday morning) and it was recorded as Monday night sleep - a whole day late on the log.

I will see if the reset cures it, but the log on the iPad App is definitely a day out (and the iPad is set to the correct date/time).

With every additional error on this FitBit One I am increasingly thinking we bought a lemon.disappointingly unreliable so far, unlike my Charge HR.
