Ok folks, First, I LOVE my Fitbit One!!! I have officially, once and for all, lost the plastic cap for the Fitbit One clip....exposing the 2 metal prongs.....
It's not surprising since I have to have a battle with it every time I take if off....nothing new. I have now resorted to covering the metal clips with duct tape....silver, if you want to know. I will be ordering a "third party" clip replacement. Maybe they do a better job. FITBIT! do you hear all the complaints about the One clip? what are the plans?

But the good news is that you have never lost your One....perhaps because the clip is nice and secure?
I'm not sure I'd agree with a looser clip but I agree that something should be done about the end cap. I lost mine about a year ago and have got used to having the 2 prongs exposed. I'd be interested in how you get on with the 3rd party replacements as I've looked at them a few times.

I'm with @SteveH on this one, I'd rather it be too snug and not lose it than otherwise. The replacement clip is $15; the replacement One is $100.
I have tried the 3rd party clips from MDW available at Amazon and they are certainly not as sturdy as the original clip, but if you buy them in bulk (10 for $30), they're 1/5 the price of the original clip.
Though I'm also finding that I wear my Fitbit One more like a pocket watch these days, and this clip from Shapeways is what I've been using to attach to a watch fob.
An alternative to the silicone clip, you may also consider one like this. I do own this one, but haven't used it much since I prefer the pocket watch way of carrying the One. It does seem pretty durable.
I hope this helps.

I totally get not loosing it, really, I do. But I'm a girl....and I clip it on some clothing that is sensitive to being yanked and stretched....anyway, thanks for your comments....of course, I'm keeping it....just frustrated.

@KFM,
Another recommended way to wear it is in your bra (your being a woman and all). I know that Etsy.com has other crafted options for pendant like this one. This will work pretty accurately as long as it doesn't swing around too much.
I'm trying to wean my wife off an Ultra onto a One, so I'd like to see someone make a brooch which she can pin to her outfit. If you're crafty with handmade jewelry and can put one together, you'll get my money.
