My husband killed my Fitbit. He put it in the washing machine. I’m so sad. It’s dead. Can I still buy a new one ? And can I keep my info and put it on the new one?

@Maxsmum2006 Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for reporting the situation you have experienced with your Fitbit One being washed. Unfortunately, it is not possible to buy a new one at the Fitbit Store.

You may try what @JohnnyRow suggested and look for it at a different retailer. You can also get a different Fitbit device

Also, please try these tips for trackers that got washed. This has helped other users in the past.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

Fitbit One has been discontinued.  There are many people who would still like to find one so very tough to find - would have to scour eBay or such for old or used one.

However, your data is still good.  Everything except data since your last sync is still on the Fitbit database under your account/email.  You can still see the data on your phone app or on the fitbit.com dashboard.  If you get another tracker, just add it to the same account and the data continues right along.

I've read of them surviving washing machine; maybe you already have done this, but worth just letting it dry out a few days, some say in bowl of rice, then try again.

I tried the rice thing. I plugged it and for a second it said ‘fitbit’ and lit up. And then it died.  I’m so sad. I don’t wear watches and this little guy was perfect. Thanks for the advise.

@Maxsmum2006 Thanks for your reply and for trying the steps provided in order to sort this out. It's unfortunate to read that your One didn't work after that.

Ok.so my husband washed my Fitbit 1 last weekend. And yes it died. Our bad. So yesterday I hunted around and found someone selling a Fitbit 1 brand new (2014) in Box. I bought it and GUESSWHAT?  YES it’s dead. Error message FITBIT 6.60. I really wished I had done a bit more research as I now see this was quite common. I guess I lucked out with my old one as it worked perfectly for over three years. Anyway don’t buy new unopened boxes thinking they will work. Because they don’t . And really stupidly (I thought I was being clever) I bought two...and they are both dead. So now I have three dead Fitbit 1’s. And I still don’t actually have a freaking Fitbit. Sad day.

@Maxsmum2006 Thanks for your reply and for sharing those details. It's unfortunate to read that the new Ones you got didn't work correctly.

By any chance, have you contacted the re seller back to see if they can refund you?

Also, try a restart on those Ones and check if that will make a difference.

Did you got any help from customer support? I created a case for you; they should have contacted you already.
