Hi Everyone!
So sorry to hear about the issues syncing your One. Fortunately, I have some suggestions to help:
1. Restart your tracker.
2. Reboot the computer, tablet, or phone you're trying to sync with.
3. Open the Fitbit app to initiate a sync.
4. If your One is still not syncing, take a look at our help article to learn how to set up your tracker as a new device.
I'd also double check a few things:
1. Make sure that your iOS, Android, and Windows Fitbit app is updated to the latest version. If you're syncing to a Windows device, please keep in mind that we recommend updating to Windows 10 and using the Windows 10 Fitbit App.
2. If you've upgraded to OS 6.0 (Marshmallow) on your Android device, make sure that you have location services turned on in the settings.
3. Is the device you're trying to sync your tracker to on our list of compatible devices?
Those of you who are seeing an error message or the "Fitbit 6.60" message when trying to sync, please take a screenshot of this and attach it to this thread. The more information I have the better I can help!
I hope this helps! Please let me know how it goes. ![]()
Best Answerhaving the same problem, I did try to delete the device from my account and then re syncing it and adding it, but if it doesn't work I don't want to be deleting and re-adding my One everyday. Hopefully it works

when they tell u to connect to ur computer and hold down the button for 10-12 seconds, they r wrong.
Hold it down for 20-30 seconds. This was the only way to shut it down for me. try that and then do everthing else they say in the directions. mine wouldn't connect for 2 days until i did it this way.

Best AnswerThank you! This worked! I think the step to unplug the USB as opposed to removing my Fitbit from the charger was the key.
Best AnswerI'm on my second FBOne in a week, my first device had the same error and I couldn't set it up because it wouldn't pair up with my S6 or my computer. FB exchanged the device and I'm still having the same problems.
Best AnswerThank you for advising that you will likely have to restart your phone and/or computer as well. I actually exchanged my first device because Customer Support didn't advise me to reboot all connections.
Best AnswerThis is not working for me. I have reinstalled the Fitbit program into my phone, restarted my phone, charged my One and held down the button for 20 seconds.................nothing Still has not synced since yesterday at 6:54pm.
Any other suggestions?

Best AnswerMy One is not syncing also! Getting very frustrated. This is the second time this has happened but nothing is working. Only have had my One for 16 months! Maybe the life of them is only 12?
I also tried the suggestions, 12 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds... no luck on my iMac. Then I followed the link from the Fitbit Dashboard called:
which took me to the following page:
http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1866/?l=en_US&c=Topics:Syncing&fs=Search&pn=1
I then followed the instructions, and what finally worked for me is unplugging the Fitbit USB wireless synch dongle (the little black thing with the USB connection) from my USB hub, and plugging it directly into one of the USB ports on the back of my iMac. The exclamation mark then disappeared from the right side of the Fitbit icon in the top left menu bar, and I was able to sync. Hooray!
Best AnswerMine is doing the same thing - my fitbit shows 3000+ steps more than my app! I have turned the wifi and bluetooth on and off, but nothing is working.
Best AnswerFitBit had me do this and it worked:
We kindly suggest to restart yuor tracker give a few tries some customer experienced good results after a few of tries please follow the steps bellow.
1. Plug your tracker into the charging cable, which needs to be connected to your computer. Please make sure that the gold dots on your tracker align with the gold contacts in the inside of the charger. When you hear a click, you will know your One is in the charging cable properly.
2. Hold down the button on your tracker for 12 seconds sometimes 20 seconds.
3. Remove your tracker from the charging cable.
4. Press the button on your tracker until the screen lights up.
Best AnswerI have noticed that how many steps and stairs I've taken is more than what I really have done. I borrowed a different brand tracker and using them both, the numbers are not anywhere close to matching.
Has anyone else noticed this also?
Best AnswerFurther to my post: I also tried the suggestions... about unplugging the USB dongle from a USB hub and connecting it straight into a USB port on my iMac, there's still more to this problem. My iMac hung up later in the day when entering my password, and I had to do a restart. When it re-started, the Fitbit icon in the top menu again had the exclamation mark in it's right hand pixels, and Synch Now in the drop down menu was greyed out. This time I unplugged the USB dongle, and re-inserted it into the same USB port, which cleared the fault.
So we're not out of the woods yet with iMac-Fitbit sync problems.
