Fitbit One Syncing Issue

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi Everyone!

So sorry to hear about the issues syncing your One. Fortunately, I have some suggestions to help:

1. Restart your tracker.

2. Reboot the computer, tablet, or phone you're trying to sync with.

3. Open the Fitbit app to initiate a sync.

4. If your One is still not syncing, take a look at our help article to learn how to set up your tracker as a new device.

I'd also double check a few things:

1. Make sure that your iOS, Android, and Windows Fitbit app is updated to the latest version. If you're syncing to a Windows device, please keep in mind that we recommend updating to Windows 10 and using the Windows 10 Fitbit App

2. If you've upgraded to OS 6.0 (Marshmallow) on your Android device, make sure that you have location services turned on in the settings.

3. Is the device you're trying to sync your tracker to on our list of compatible devices

Those of you who are seeing an error message or the "Fitbit 6.60" message when trying to sync, please take a screenshot of this and attach it to this thread. The more information I have the better I can help!

I hope this helps! Please let me know how it goes. Smiley Happy

This afternoon I took the plunge and bought a Fitbit One. Got home and got really excited at the thought of setting it all up etc. Have to say that instructions are not that great for a non techy!

Anyway, I started installing the app on my iPad, got as far as synching via Bluetooth and absolutely nothing happens. Tried again and again and again... you get the drift. Deleted app from iPad and started again from scratch on Android Huawei phone. Same thing happens. I am now extremely frustrated and cross that I have wasted my hard earned cash on something that seems not to want to play! On both devices Bluetooth tells me there is nothing to be found. Without being able to sync, the Fitbit One is as good as useless to me.

Unless some kind soul out there can help... using plain English that a non techy can understand it will be going back to the shop where I will no doubt not be able to get my money back!

I am so frustrated.

Thank you in advance for anyone who can help and sorry for the rant! Smiley Sad

daisy - can't provide any help for you, but I have been having the same problem with my Fitbit One all day.  Synched at 7:20am, haven't been able to sync since.  It is also telling me it can't find my tracker.  If I restart my phone, when I try to sync, it tells me it can't contact Fitbit.com.  So, I think something may be going on with the system today.  Because I haven't made any changes on my side and it has been working just fine since I got it (2 months ago).

Found these instructions in another thread & they worked for me:

I called and was sent this info. It worked for me. I am now synced again.

We're sorry for the trouble you've been experiencing with your Fitbit One. If you haven't already done so we suggest restarting your tracker:

1. Plug your tracker into the charging cable, which needs to be connected to your computer. Please make sure that the gold dots on your tracker align with the gold contacts in the inside of the charger. When you hear a click, you will know your One is in the charging cable properly.
2. Hold down the button on your tracker for 12 seconds.
3. Remove your tracker from the charging cable.
4. Press the button on your tracker until the screen lights up.

Your One should work normally. I had to turn my phone off first- then back on. Works!!

Further to my last message, I wanted to inform you that the problem has started again.

Yes, Fitbit sends out updates regularly, hence the times when it's working
and times when it's not.

Thanks,

I'm sorry but I don't buy the update reason. It happens daily to me.

Well, I'm sorry to hear your One is not functioning up to your expectations.
I get frustrated too, when my expectations are not fulfilled.

After being unable to sync with my computer for around 6 weeks when the "help" desk was trying to figure out what was wrong, I was finally able to get it to work again by deleting everything from several places on my computer and re-installing it.  Now about 3 weeks later, it has not sync'd since yesterday morning.  Very frustrating!  Here we go again....

Mine's been not syncing on and off for at least a week. Sometimes, it syncs overnight and sometimes not. I have done the tracker reset several times now and it doesn't seem to stick. It appears to be some issue on their end.

I don't agree with this update reason, either. We should not have these
problems.

Of course, my One is not working again. This is getting ridiculous that we have all these problems.

Side note: I also have a Zip that I used today but it's not syncing either. So clearly the problem is not with my devices

Well, I did a reset earlier today and it's been syncing okay since then. Of course, that may change overnight, but I hope not.

@LenaFit,
I have already tried all that and it's still not syncing. And my Zip does sync either. So that's 2 devices not syncing with neither Windows 8, iOS nor Android

I too am having the same sync problems. Have restarted fitbit started to sync and them can't locate. Turned phone off and back on but still nothing. I have had for over a year and never had this problem. Now it happens every day. What is up with it doing this?

I have tried ALL of these things over and over, and this has been over a period of more than six months. The one exception is that I have NOT "upgraded" to Windows 10, and flat-out refuse to do so. Windows 10 is full of advertising junk and spyware and I am very disappointed that Fitbit is telling people to use it. I will use my Windows 7 machines until they fall apart.

Please stop issuing the same old advice over and over. We've all tried it. It DOES NOT WORK.

I have been using a FitBit since 2014 and never had any problems until now.  I cannot get it to sync with my iphone since the 17th.  There are steps, but they do not match what is on the tracker.  I have done everything listed below (several times) to no avail.  Any other ideas?  It's very frustrating when you are in a competition and the dashboard is not reflecting the correct data.

Suddenly today, my dashboard says the last sync was "just now" but the data clearly show that it did not sync just now because te dashboard shows fewer steps, stoars, etc than my One tracker does.
