Fitbit One keeps rejecting pairing with bluetooth on Samsung Galaxy S8

Ok, my One tracker will not pair with my Samsung Galaxy S8. This occurred in December after an unsuccessful tracker software update. (Previously paired and working fine for two years ) The update will not go through as my One keeps rejecting the pair. 

I have already reset tracker, uninstalled the app, reset phone, reset bluetooth and tried adding it as a new device to my app. All to no avail. 

Please help, if able.
