Fitbit One not tracking all steps

 I purchased a Fitbit one just this past September. This is my 4th fitbit as I have been a member since 2012.

 

I have always suspected that it was not counting all steps, as I am always way short of my walking partners total. I have just let it go up until now.

 

Last night I wore my fitbit to bed ( I normally never do). during the night I got up to go to the bathroom and one time to let the dog out. This morning I go to log yesterdays totals and find that my Fitbit One shows ZERO steps for today. I thought that maybe it had not synced so I tried syncing again. ZERO. Then I took off my fitbit to check the count on the unit itself ZERO.

 

It did not record anything until I shook it.  This fitbit is only 3 month old!!!!!

 

Anyone have any help?

Steps will never match someone else even though you walk the same distance. Your strides are different.

 

Try a restart

Do it at least 3 times.
