Fitbit One saving incorrect exercise type

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

For some reason, despite selecting exercise type 'walk' from my app, my fitbit insists on saving the exercise as a 'run'.

I have tried deleting the exercise and manually adding as a walk on many occasions but it still saves it as a run.

Any ideas on how to get around this?

That is a currently known problem with the Android app that Fitbit is aware of.  Hopefully, it will be addressed soon.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks... Let's hope so as I'm no runner!

@KezzaN Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to post the situation you are experiencing with exercises being recorded as run. Thanks for trying those steps in order to sort this out.

By any chance, are you using the Fitbit app to track your exercises? Are you trying to manually edit those activities? Just as @JohnnyRow informed, the Fitbit team has received reports on this and is working on a solution.

In this case, can you try manually logging the activity by following the steps here and let me know if the same keeps happening?

Also, please make sure you are using the latest version of the Fitbit app for Android devices (version 2.87 released on February 4th, 2019).

Keep me posted! Smiley Happy
