Went through the washer & dryer and then had crazy amount of steps, but a couple hours later won't turn on at all, even after trying to charge.  Is it done?

Initially mine did the same thing after washed and dryer - many steps and activity - then plugged in charger - saw the battery sign come on and then screen went blank - put in charger a couple more times but believe my pal, FB1, that has seen so much has moved on . . .:(
