if i hit the button it does not wake up. I need to hold the button down and then it shows Fitbit 6.60 but all the activity is lost. Theyn it works for a bit and continues into this mode. I have reset it and it seems to work at least for a short bit. I could be wrong but it has worked fine for the past year until the past couple of months and I dont ever recall the Fitbit6.60 message before.

Truly frustrating and about ready to give up and go to a different manufacture. Seems Fitbit has some issues in QC or writing code.

I am experiencing the exact same problem.  Fitbit Flex worked great for a year, but now just stops for no reason (was fully charged) and I lose all my data for the day.  Also frustrated and about to give up on Fitbit

unless someone has a solution to this issue.   Seems to be working fine, and then - NOTHING, just dead.  I have had to reset it  and put in the charger to re-charge again all night.  Can this be fixed?

I assume no response means fitbit techs dont have any ideas either.

Looked at the microsoft watch yesterday tracks steps and does lots more. And at least they are a proven company.

The one last idea I have is to revert it back to previous 6.60 patch, does anyone know how to do this?

I am dealing with same issue; I've been a FitBit user for over 2 years, this is my fourth One; 2 of the 4 stopped working in less than a year and after "return" window.  I am no longer confident FitBit is committed to customer service policy. I was a very committed and loayl fitbit custom but have no choice after repeated issues and no luck with customer service that I too will go to another manufacturuer.  Not surprising FitBits stock is tanking.

Same crap today. I am not sure what is going on. no one seems to work in tech support at fitbit anymore.

I am having same problem.  It stops counting steps and have to plug into my computer and restart.  Sometimes I have to do this several times a day.  Sick of it and thinking of looking to another device as well unless Fitbit Tech can help quickly.

I too have been having the same problem for about a year. My One is about 2.5 years old but it seems it should last longer than that. i take good care of it, never dropped it or got it wet. i complained two or three times to support but they were less than helpful, just told me to reset it and let them know if it kept happening. The last advice i received from them was "  if your Fitbit One™ stops tracking or restarts when worn in your pocket, please ensure that you're using the silicone belt clip and that the tracker is seated properly inside. The metal charging pins on the tracker should not be in contact with any metal in the belt clip.

We recommend clipping the tracker facing inward towards your skin--as opposed to touching static-prone fabric--whenever possible. Static electricity can cause the device to restart or stop tracking intermittently, so we also recommend anti-static spray."  I tried that (but not the anti-static spray) and it hasn't helped.

I'm checking out other brands of trackers in hopes of finding one I don't have to replace every couple of years. (Support has been great in replacing the clip when it has brokern - another design flaw?)

If you find another product you like better, please share. I too prefer to have device that lasts longer than 8 months.

This and the other replies are only too familiar.  It seems to suddenly lose it's charge.  It goes from full to empty overnight or sometime during the day.  I must reset and recharge and my steps for the day are not recorded.

I will but right now it doesn't look too promising for me. I haven't found another tracker that syncs both on the phone and the computer (i prefer computer over phone) and can be worn like the One. I might try another model like the charge or the blaze even though these are worn on the wrist. After looking at some of the models in the community, they all seem to have their own problems, sigh....

I ws having some problems with mine losing it' charge more frequently but that part seems to have stopped. Now the tracker just stops or shuts off for no apparant reason and i lose steps. Maybe  couple of years is all I should expect for I device that I use every day.
