Fitbit not tracking accurate steps

My fitbit One isn't tracking my steps accurately. I was at about 6,000 steps prior to my workout. I walked 1.5 hrs. And only acumilated a total of 16,700. On my Samsung Note 4, I started off with my step count at less than 1,000. And ended my 1.5 hr walk with 13,195 steps.

How am I able to sync my steps through my phone, to match up with actual steps taken? Is there any way I can do that? I'm really trying to get an accurate reading, for my weight loss purposes.

Hi, @Tessie_k, that is very unusual.  The Fitbit One is rated as one of the most accurate devices (Journal of American Medicine).  Are you wearing it clipped close to your body (on your hip or attached to your bra)?  In any case, I would expect your One to be more accurate than your Samsung.  The Samsung is a phone, with a pedometer thrown in, while the Fitbit is a dedicated tracking device with 3 accelerometers working together to track your steps.

If you definitely feel that your steps were underestimated you can manually add them as an activity, following the instructions here.  Manually added steps will appear on your own dashboard, but will not count toward challenges or your friends leaderboard.
