I left town on May 8th 2017 and returned on May 12 to find that my Fitbit One will not sync. I only use my computer to sync, not my phone. I have tried the turning off bluetooth, logging out of Fitbit, putting it on the charger, holding button for 15 seconds...then turning everything back on... still doesn't work. I have Windows 10, has something changed since May 8th?
I"m having the same issue. It acted up on May 8 so I put it on the charger. Now it won't sync. I sent an email to Tech Support on Monday. Received reply that I will have response in two days due to high volume. Hope a fix can be found. Feeling lost!
Here is the response. I'm happy to say that #4, restarting my tracker WORKED for me. Good luck with your process to get back to happy stepping!
1- Force quit and then reopen the Fitbit app.
2- If the tracker doesn't sync, quit the app again and try turning Bluetooth off and on.
3- Reopen the app once more. If the tracker doesn't sync, try again after rebooting your mobile device.
4- If your tracker doesn't sync, try again after restarting your tracker. For instructions see How do I restart my tracker?
5- Lastly, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app.
I too was not able to sync since May 8 - I followed all of the suggestions ... I think the restart was the one that did it but happy my fitbit is now syncing again.
Thank you so much, mine stopped syncing day before yesterday and I tried everything on 2 different phones and restarting my One worked! Have a great day & let's keep walking! I have to share I just did a 30 mile walk on Saturday for Sue's Crew cancer awareness, that is why I got my Fitbit last month, so I was happy it at least worked for that, but still a little bummed cause it's been fun tracking everything! Thanks again!
I have been through this dance multiple times, with increasing frequency.
The symptoms are essentially always the same: FB1 stops synching, even though charged; reset FB1 (sometimes more than once is required); synching resumes (until the next time).
The last time this happened (just got reset and synching again) the clock on the FB1 also went off by about 9 hours, even though the display when plugged into the charger showed over half charge.
If this behavior continues, I may have to look at Garmin.
I'm glad you were able to get your device to sync. I am still not syncing. Maybe it's the difference between a mobile device (you) and a laptop (me). I'm not sure I know how to do some of this -- forced shutdown etc. I've gone through this routine over and over and it doesn't work for me. I don't have time for this. Gotta run. I will probably have to contact the "people" in charge. Glad you're up and running. I'm still on May 8!
Hmmm, makes me wonder if that's why the price was so great on this item! Wishing you luck getting yours to sync! And the only dancing I really want to do is on the dance floor! Thanks for sharing!
Best AnswerMy problem might be related. I updated to Windows10 Creator. If the Fitbit app is working I have intermittent trouble connecting to the internet using either Chrome of Edge. When I delete the Fitbit app the problem goes away. It seems I can either have good internet connectivity or have the Fitbit app installed, but not both. A couple of times while trying to figure this out I re-booted my computer and the FItbit app was somehow disabled. Everything worked fine until I enabled it again.
