I do alot of the Fitbit challenges with coworkers . I have noticed a huge difference in step count between each of us. One coworker I work next to, and we do the same type of work, will show about a 10000 step difference. So, one day my coworker wore both a fitbit one and a blaze, and each day there where about 7000 to 10000 step more on the blaze. Has anyone seen something similar to this? Thank You

Hello @Richie9911,
While Fitbit aspires to make the trackers as accurate as possible for most folks, due to the physics of the device and how it's worn there are going to be some activities that will register more accurately on some devices and others that may either register lower or higher. For instance:
I hope this helps.

I was just coming on to ask a similar question. I have the One and it seemed like i was taking a lot more steps than was actually tracked so today, I wore my smart watch also and the pedometer on there registered almost 1200 more steps than my One. Why is that??

Hello PureEvil,
Thank You for your response. I believe that the tracking sensors like the One are more accurate in tracking actual steps. The wrist mounted sensors pick up steps and upper body movement. I know that the fitbit's are considered activity monitors and not pedometers, but I pretty sure that they all show steps taken. The majority of the people that are my Fitbit friends have the wrist mounted sensors. Its unfortunate that some of the people wearing these wrist mount sensors are getting highly inaccurate information about there step count, and other information like calories burned and active minutes.

Hey, @JRG0412! It is nice to have you on board. Well, it all depends on what activities where you doing on that day and also on what part of your body are you wearing your One?
@Richie9911, our engineers tried to make all of our Fitbit models as accurate as possible, but because of the different movements that our body has it is likely that there will be some inaccuracy depending on some activities for example if you are riding a bike or driving your car in a bumpy rode, this will count as steps since the tracker can't know the difference of this movements, it just detects as your arms swings or moves as you naturally walk or run, and now with the new features like SmartTrack it can detect some other activities that are not step based. But, you can try the accuracy of your One by putting it on activity mode and walking a 100 steps as you count them, make sure to stop it when you finish, then sync your tracker and it should counted the same 100 steps.
If this is not the case, please perform a restar and give it another try! c:
