Fitbit one won't sync

Ahh... When I was having this problem, I contacted customer support. I did everything that they told me to do and they came to the conclusion there was nothing they could do for me and since my One was no longer under warranty, they would give me a discount to buy another.

I don't know why I didn't look at the community forum and realize that is an ongoing Fitbit company problem! My mistake!

I ended purchasing a new One through Fitbit, my second mistake! When I received it over 2 weeks ago, I noticed that the box (Fitbit) had been opened and things just didn't look right. But in my excitement to get stepping again, I didn't notice until I had set it up that tracker and the case were different colors. A burgandy tracker & black case. I ordered black.

I immediately contacted Fitbit and that was my 3rd bad decision. I sent an email thinking that it would be an easy enough fix. Wrong!  It's been about 2 weeks and 3 emails later, my case has now been sent to another team to handle.

It makes me mad, that the complany could not have been upfront about the syncing issue. At this point, the only thing I want to do is return my so called new mismatched One and get a refund.

Hi, @marisam, Fitbit offers a 45 day refund no questions asked, so if that is what you want, call back and explain clearly that this is what you require.  Alternatively if you got a product that wasn't what you ordered, simply email them with details of your order and a picture of what you received.  It does not matter if you have thrown away the packaging.  I am quite sure that if the order is wrong, they will sort it out.

However, I am a little puzzled by your post, because I am not sure from what you say if there is a problem with the colour of your One or a syncing issue, or both!

Obviously the Community can't help with the mismatched colour issue, but someone can often help with syncing problems if you let us know whether you are trying to sync with a phone  (if so, which one) or a computer, and what problems / error messages you are encountering.

I have to say that in my experience problems with the Fitbit One are unusual!  But please let us know and we can try to get you stepping again -- if that is what you want... (gotta add, I love my Fitbit One.)

My FitBit One stopped syncing October 14, 2016.  Called tech support twice, unfortunately re-starting it, deleting the app from my computer and iPhone-then adding them back again, even adding it as a "new" device did not fix the sync issue.  Mine is 2.5 years old, of course out of warranty, and I was offered a 25% discount to buy a new One.  Not sure if I want to get another one if it won't last.  I love that I can wear it all the time and nobody knows it is working.

When my iPhone went crazy one day and started typing without me, I tried phone tech support, then made an appointment at the store.  The techs ran diagnostics and determined my phone was indeed crazy, then gave me a new one!  I was shocked since it was 20 months out of warranty.  You better believe, I am an Apple customer for life now!  Wish FitBit worked that way.

My Fibit One stops syncing every couple of weeks. The only thing that works is resetting it. Immediately after I reset it, I get a low battery warning and need to recharge it. Usually right before I do the reset, the battery is fine, and right after it is low. Fitbit support was no help. It's a pain to have to keep resetting it, but I guess it is what it is. I'll probably get another brand of tracker once this one stops working completely. I had a Zip before this, and it was needing new batteries all the time. I don't think Fitbit trackers are very good quality.

What exactly is reset? Where is that button? And will I lose the months of "unsynced" steps?
