I’d had my Fitbit for a while but for some reason my Fitbit one will not sync with my iPhone 6s.

I have logged out and in to the app

Deleted and reinstalled the app

Turned my phone off and on again

but nothing. Can someone please advise. My Fitbit is working perfectly.

I hope someone chimes in with assistance! I’m having an identical issue on my iPhone SE today and have tried the same remedies. The One I’m currently using is only about 6 months old and worked fine until now. I notice my phone isn’t listing it as one of the connected Bluetooth devices and I’m going to see how I can force it to be discovered.

@SunsetRunner @tricia676 Welcome to the Fitbit family! I see that both of your iPhones are listed under the list of supported devices. It should be possible to sync your One with it.

I recommend following these syncing troubleshooting steps on this helpful article. This should certainly help you out with this. Make sure to follow the steps in the order given there.

Try that out and let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

Hi there.
I’m afraid that despite me doing these steps a few days ago it hasn’t rectified the problem.
Is there a possibility there’s a bug with the app, especially as a number of existing users are having this problem.

Hi Kezzer84 -

After several days of frustration, I finally found this page with instructions to turn my One off & on again:

https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186?p=one&c=Topics%3ASyncing&l=en_US&fs=Search&...

It didn't seem like it worked at first, but after several minutes the app on my phone prompted me to enter a 4-digit code that appeared on my One, and everything's been fine ever since.

I hope it works for you, too!

This solution worked for me after a lot of frustration and worry, thanks so much! Your link was broken but this version works:  https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186 . Many thanks again.

Both of these links are now broken and I’ve encountered the same issue (unable to sync). I’ve had no problem and all of a sudden it’s undiscoverable. I’ve tried disconnecting, restarting, uninstalling and so far nothing has worked. Any other ideas?

Hi -

Try this link: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1257/?q=Turn+One+on+and+off&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn...

if if that doesn’t work, try going to the Help home page (https://help.fitbit.com) and enter a query like “turn off device” in the search bar.

Good luck!

If your Fitbit device is not syncing, it may be fixed by a restart. Restarting your device turns it off and on without deleting any activity data. If your device saves notifications, a restart deletes them.

1. Plug your charging cable into your computer.
2. Plug your Fitbit One tracker into the charging cable, making sure that the gold contacts on your tracker align with the gold contacts in the inside of the charger.
3. Hold down your tracker's button for 10-12 seconds.
4. Remove your tracker from the charging cable and press its button until the screen turns on.

Your tracker should now work normally.
