I had lost my Fitbit One last summer right before vacation. Couldn't find it anywhere. Well today I was cleaning out my closet and found it attached to a pair of capris I obviously didn't wear since then. The problem is that it hasn't been charged in 11 months. I put it on the charger but nothing so far when I push the button. Is it possible to get it to charge or is it no longer any good. I love the One and haven't gotten a new Fitbit because I can't wear anything on my arm at work and they don't make a clip on option that counts stairs. Can anyone tell me how I could get this to charge again?

I'm sorry but when these batteries are not charged for long periods of time it kills them. So there is no way to bring it back

I found mine after not using it for 3 years, I connected it straight to my phone charger and just waited. I'd give it 45 minutes then hold down the button. It either should work or it's broken. Mine did charge so it's possible. Good luck!

@WendyB It's interesting you say that. I first started in 2014 with my One, and I probably let it go a year without charging (got discouraged in about 2015). I'm still using the same one. I've a spare in a box (really my mom's she never used, and she said I can have it if mine dies); hope that One charges.

@SteppingBooks It seems to work for some. I also have a brand new in a box waiting for mine to die. I will see what happens when It does. When I mentioned it a while ago I was told it probably will not charge.
But reading Google it happens on these types of batteries.
But my DH had a one that he didn't use and didn't charge and I tried everything to get it to charge and it would not.

@WendyB It is very strange. I wonder if it is similar to some other issues that came out about some electronics; where there were some inferior parts used to keep up with demand. Maybe some have inferior batteries and that's why? Mine still can hold a charge from 5-7 days, pending on how many alarms I set or if I do the sleep tracking. Usually I can get about a full week with the 3 alarms and tracking nightly.

Hi there,
I would try calling customer service. They helped me reboot mine when I was having difficulty. I also am a big fan of the clip type. I wish they would make more options like it again. I bet if you call CS they will be able to guide you.

My account won't recognize it since it wasn't charged. Fitbit no longer supports the one I have so they won't allow it to be added to my account so I can't charge it even if the battery would charge.

My account won't recognize it that's why I can't charge it. Fitbit no longer supports the Fitbit One Ulta so I cannot add it back to the account.

I would check. Customer service said they no longer support them so they can't be added to my account. As long as you keep it charged it will still recognize it. Once I lost the charge completely I can't put it on my account. I even says on my account that my device is no longer supported by Fitbit.

@Jean1118 I'm sorry but the Ultra was discontinued quite some time ago. I'm not surprised it not being recognized.
I'm surprised it even charged
Your post is confusing. Do you have an ULTRA or A ONE?
