Thought I'd let you know how I did it.

 

As soon as I figured out that my One had slipped out of its case, I looked for an app in the Apple app store and found one called "Blue Hound." It finds everything bluetooth anywhere in the vicinity of your iPhone. It will list all the items it can sense, and one will be "Fitbit One." Select that one. Start walking around, and it will give you "You are getting hotter or colder" visual cues, much like the children's game. It got me to a range of 15' of where I had lost it, and I had a good idea which part of our garden I had been working in. I started pushing aside the leaves, and there it was! Added some red nail polish to it so nixt time it gets lost on black soil I might be able to see it better.

Nice work on finding your One. It's amazing how lost we feel without our Fitbits. Thanks for sharing your story.

 

I'm glad you hadn't buried it in the soil. At least your garden got some extra attention while you were looking for the Fitbit.
