I went on a backpacking trip last week down to Havasupai in the Grand Canyon. I know exactly the last time I saw my fitbit on my clothing. I lost it and haven't been able to find it since Monday the 4th. I have looked EVERYWHERE. Odd thing is that it still sync's. It synced in Arizona when we were in a hotel, it synced in Moab, then it didn't sync for a couple of days then all of a sudden I am here at work in Salt Lake and it Synced saying I have all sorts of steps for the past few days. How can that be possible when I am not wearing it? I am pretty sure I lost it in the Grand Canyon. Has anyone else experienced this?
(P.S. Yes I have searched everywhere) One more thing... The steps don't match up to what I would be walking/running

Fitbits will happily sync to any PC that has the software installed and the wireless dongle in place - it doesn't have to be your PC or dongle. It needn't be anywhere near you.

So in other words someone else is wearing my fit bit and I am seeing their steps on my fit bit? So if I purchase a new Fitbit will it sync to the old or the new one?

@SteveH Thanks for sharing your tips!
@Avryv Welcome to the Community! I'm sorry to hear your One is missing. Please keep in mind that in order for your tracker to continue syncing to your Fitbit account after it is lost, it must be located near the computer, phone, or tablet that it would normally sync to. With this said, I recommend double checking if your tracker is near you.
If you still can't locate your tracker, you can setup your new One to your Fitbit account by following the steps within our help article.
Good luck! Let me know if you have any questions.
