How to log exercise without impacting active minutes & steps

My Fitbit one accurately shows 75 active minutes and the steps are also accurate. I want to include the exercise (5km jog) so I can see my weekly exercise but I don't want to impact my active minutes or steps - is this possible?
Thanks

@Linda1712 It's possible with a little fiddling. I suggest you create an Activity Record by using the Large Stopwatch on the Activity Log page.. That will take a copy of your 5km jog data. You will also type a description of the activity and it will not affect your Active Minutes.

Click on the small stopwatch next to the description and you can see your 1 minurte bar charts breakdown.

If you divide the minutes into the calories and that answer is more than 3 times your sleeping/resting/BMR calories  a manually entered activity will then, not affect your active minutes. A manually entered activity averages your calories over the elapsed time period and many lose their active minutes this way.

See how you go ..

@Colinm39 it's easier than that, and still can be done through the web on a phone.

This will have to be done on the Web, click Log from the Dashboard, then Activities. Scroll down and to the right of activities you'll see a stopwatch with a plus sign. This is where you want to log your start, and end time. The steps, distance, calories, will come from the One. Your active minutes are based on your calorie burn.

This would be  the same as if you had held the button down, tracking mode, on your One to record your workout.

If you used the tracking mode, your walk would be labeled workout. Go to the same activities page, scroll to the event. Click the edit pencil, type in 'wa', wait for the drop down menu and click walk, then done. You will now see miles.

Hi @Linda1712. I make my life easy. I just use the timer functionality of my One to start and stop the clock at the beginning and end of my walk; and once I sync, that event shows up separately on my activity log. That's my MO for the three or four trails I do weekly, weather permitting, in my neck of the woods. Once home, I edit the walk/run and rename it to the trail's name, so that I can track my performance improvements over time for each one. Cheers!
