Hi
my Fitbit stopped syncing about 7 days ago to the app & it’s taken until today to get it working. If your having the same issue then try this.
1st remove the unit from its cover & attach it to the USB cable, then either connect it to the pc or mains socket.
2nd while connected press & hold down the button for 15 seconds till the unit powers down completely.
3rd count to 10 then press the button till the unit comes on, if it doesn’t then remove it from the usb attachment & press down for 3 seconds to power on.
4th open the app, turn on the Bluetooth & either press sync or if the unit has disappeared then select add new device & select your model. The app should now find the unit and start syncing.
Bear in mind you may lose the recent data that wasn’t synced prior to the app not working but at least the unit will now sync fingers crossed it will now work like mine.
Good luck

Fitbit one won't sync. Was working about 4 wks ago - I have a dongle, I have downloaded the Windows10 app - Is this a ploy to make me buy a newer version? - if I need one, I won't be using fitbit if that's the case.

oh, and I'm trying the thing of "hold down the button for 10-12 seconds" - to reboot, I guess - but no joy there yet either.

okay, after holding down the button for 10-12 seconds many times, I finally tried going back to the app itself after doing this and finally when going to the status for the fitbit one, I finally saw that there was an update available. (PS - the instructions on doing this did not mention having to go back into the app to look for the update notification). So I clicked on the update and my fitbit was found and the update started but it couldn't finish. I re-tried 5 times and on the fifth time (I shut down everything else on my computer just in case) finally the update completed and my fitbit one sync'd . Why is this so hard?
Surely if Fitbit wants people to use their stuff, they should make it easier to use.

Thanks Bubbles, I did try all of this before....and actually it now seems to have caught up and has synced today for the first time! Glad I wasn't going mad and that others were having the same issue. Many thanks for taking the time to respond to me.

Thanks for your advice.
I did manage to get it to sync by right clicking, opening the Mac content folder and finding something about syncing in that.
It worked, but there is no longer an option on the icon to sync ( It is greyed out) and I couldn't find an update anywere. ( I use a Macbook Pro and a Dongle)
Thanks for your advice. I logged one more night of sleep. I love my One but it is pretty clear I have to find another alternative.
Not sure why the company abandoned the One- Maybe too cheap? It is such a good little device. I had a Charge and like the One way better.

MacBook Pro + Dongle user over here and I'm having this problem with my One. The 'sync' option is grayed out. The One is fully charged and is still counting but hasn't updated in days. And I've checked for updates and fitbit says I'm updated on all software changes.
I tried downloading the Fitbit app to my ipad this afternoon thinking maybe I could just start using it for a sync fix but it's "looking" for the ONE too.
Not sure what to try...I'm not even entirely sure what y'all have done that worked.

My One stopped syncing after 2/20. I followed these instructions with much hope. But the device no longer shows up as a Bluetooth device on my iphone. the app incessantly says it's looking for my One.
I also tried syncing with my computer. I get a message that asks if my tracker has power. It does. I plugged it in yesterday and it shows full power when plugged in.
I would appreciate any help available.

Hi
this was the same message I got on my iPhone for 7 days. I was thought it due to the recent update.
I had to go into the app and remove the device all together then did the above.
it forces the unit in to a factory reset & found my device when I reconnected via the app.
Maybe it’s worth trying it that way.
