Knowing when to charge my One

Hi, I have a new Fitbit One. I was told the average battery life is about 5 days. My battery is currently showing "Medium" and the device is 11 days old. I haven't yet charged it since buying it, so I'm thrilled with its battery life so far. What I want to know is do I have to wait for it to show "Low" before I put it on to charge or is the battery type one which isn't bothered by being charged earlier than this? I don't want to shorten the battery life by charging it too early. Thanks!

Hello @SunsetRunner,

Welcome to the community!

Assuming that you sync regularly and you have configured it to do so in your account settings, you should get a notification when your Fitbit is running low on battery.

In my experience, once you get this notification (either e-mail or Fitbit App), you'll have at least a full day (24 hours) of use.

Additionally, when the Fitbit One really gets low in battery (again 24 hours after the notification), you'll also start to see the battery meter when you press the button, like this:

I've never drained the battery all the way, so I can't tell you how much longer it'll last after that.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for that! It's good to know it doesn't need to go fully flat before charging, as well as how long I have after notification. Today it is still showing as medium, 12 days in, so I certainly can't complain about that!!
