Hi. I have a Fitbit One (so not measuring heart rate) and noticed that I get quite different results in terms of steps, km and calories when I run/walk (9.5 or 10 km/h run, up to 8.5 km/h walk, up to about 45 min total) on a treadmill if I just let the tracker count it as I were walking around normally versus if I log the activity afterwards by distance and time. Logging afterwards makes everything lower, especially for running, which is kind of a shame but I assume the treadmill's time and distance measures are right and I guess there's no point kidding myself I'm doing better than I am ...
Which do more experienced users recommend: log separately or just let it count as normal?
Thanks

I just let it count and do not bother to log unless its not step based like weights, yoga, etc.
Your stride is different on a treadmill anyways so it will never match
