When I chose bike option for tracking exercise and put in 50 miles in 3 hours, 30 minutes, it calculated my total calorie burn as 260 calories. That is very low. Can I fix this?

strap it to your shoe. It won't measure the distance accurately, but will show the activity period and it's better than nothing... which is what you got.

Hi @Brynnev -- that seems really odd.  I just did the same thing as a test, and it calculated 2,523 calories for me.

So you are logging Bike activity on your computer desktop app?  Can you post a screen shot?

Welcome to our community @Brynnev and @baerfit. Its nice to see new faces around. Just like @Baltoscott tried it. The best way to track this activity is by manually logging the exercise. Keep in mind this is an average as the tracker itself is not designed to do this, beside the Fitbit Surge. Other practice I have seen and even myself used, is to start the exercise mode. To do this is require just to hold the tracker's button for a few seconds until the stopwatch appear on the screen. Once the activity has be done repeat the process to finished the activity. If you are doing an activity that does not require steps (like cycling or swimming), or an activity that requires more than just steps (like tennis or yoga), you can use the exercise mode to improve the accuracy of this activity's contribution to your caloric burn.

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.
