I don’t have s Flex. I gave an original FitBitOne. I purchased it in June 2014 and just until recently I had a problem. I googled how to fix my Fitbit. I got a site that guided me to reset it and plug it into my computer and problem was fixed. However now it seems to be malfuncting during my sleep tracking I’m due for a change do bows a good time. It’s 4 1/4 years with no problems.

Hi @mcegans, a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community! I'll be more than glad to help you.
I moved your post from Flex boards to One board to better help you.
Your Fitbit, detect your sleep automatically using a combination of your movements. When you haven’t moved for about an hour, your tracker assumes that you’re asleep. When you sync your device in the morning, we use your movement to estimate your sleep cycles from the previous night.
I would like to know if the settings for this function is on "sensitive" or "normal"? I suggest to change this and try if it works better.
To get more information about it I recommend you this article: How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes!
