My Fitbit One Stats are Wrong

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just in the past two days my Fitbit One has been recording the wrong stats. Yesterday before 9am it said I had walked 23 flights of stairs. Now it says yesterday that number was 16. Neither are correct, it should be more around 8 or so.

Today I have spent the day on the computer writing. My Fitbit One is saying I have walked almost 23 miles and taken over 53k steps today. I have been getting notifications for all sorts of badges that it is saying I earned when I haven't. That is sort of a bummer too, I look forward to really earning those badges 😞

How can I fix it so it is accurate again? Can I reset those badges?

Thanks!

It might be worth resetting your One using this procedure:

https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186/

Note that this doesn't always work first time so it's worth trying it a few times.

Unfortunately, there isn't an option to remove the erroneous badges.

Yeah I tried that. I am curious what will happen tomorrow as the weirdness has been going for two days straight, especially since I did reset it after I posted this questions. I also went ahead and contacted customer support. 😞

Thanks for the reply.

@TaraL It's great to see you in the Community! It's weird that your One is not recording your data accurately. Since you have restarted your tracker as my friend @SteveH advised, my best advise would be the same that you did, which is contacting our Customer Support team so they can review your options in case your One needs to be replaced.

It appears the reset fixed it. It tracked correctly yesterday and so far seems okay today. Not sure what happened but I am keeping an eye on it. Thanks!

I started to have trouble with the fitbit recording too many floors....for days the number of floors climbed  has been drastically overstated.  I tried the reset.  The data for today is the same, I will see if it will resume tracking correctly tomorrow.  Thanks for posting and the advise from others in this string of posts.
