Every couple of months m,y FItbit One will not synch. I suspect that it coincides with a firmware update. It is very annoying because I usually lose data. This time I lost a complete days worth of activity. It says I had zero steps on Wednesday although I carry the Fitbit every where I go. Why don't you ensure that every software or firmware change which is made is fully tested before it is released and also that every change is backward compatible so that data and functionality is never lost.

@kmcskimming Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Are you still experiencing this problem?
Can you check back on previous days to see if it will show that it synced the steps you did?
Also, what days did you lost your activity? You can always manually log activities for previous days if you need to recover those steps. You should try that option to check if it gives you accurate data.
Keep me posted!

I was so happy to see an actual moderator who might be able to help. I have tried everything to get my One to Sync. I've done the "plug in and hold 10 seconds" thing; rebooted the computer; have both blue tooth on and the dongle in. It stopped recording to the app on the 16th of October even though the One itself still logs everything correctly on it's screen. What else can I do?? Thanks, Karen

I have the same issue since the same date. I tought that the issue was my One that just was getting old. Try to charge it everyday. Today I was tired, thought to help me out with this. I bought a new one.
A new one, out of the box, unable to sync. I guess the battery issue will apply too, but I will never know. After finding this site, tomorrow morning, the new One is going back to the store.

Update
I tried one last thing before I gave up.
search to reboot, not the computer, but reboot the One. It worked for me. The one is now syncing again without issues. Follow this.
Plug your charging cable into your computer.
Plug your One tracker into the charging cable, making sure that the gold contacts on your tracker align with the gold contacts in the inside of the charger.
Hold down your tracker's button for 10-12 seconds.
Remove your tracker from the charging cable and press its button until the screen turns on.
Your tracker will now be reset. When you press your tracker's button you should be able to navigate through the screens as you normally would.

@dansk It's great to see you in the Fitbit Community! Are you still experiencing this problem? When was the last time your tracker synced?
If you are, I recommend following these syncing troubleshooting steps:
Try the steps in the order given there, some of them you already tried, but the order is important!
Try that out and let me know how it goes!
