New fitbit one, wont sync

Old Fitbit went through the wash destroyed.

I removed that from my account

Purchased another in great condition, has been removed from that persons account.

It wont sync to the Fitbit app on my  phone, cant get it to sync to anything.

IPHONE 6 - fully charged; in great service;

Fitbit - fully charged.

keeps getting Error $400.

#Iphone  does have a headset ... and also my car multimedia that runs through bluetooth. but of course sitting where I am now, they are NOT connected

## I read somewhere that if your Iphone is managing mulitple devices through bluetooth, THIS Might cause it to NOT WANT to connect to your Fitbit.

I havent deleted the app from my iphone as yet, and reinstalled.

If I do this,  do I lose all my data everywhere?  like.. I really do want to keep the data from past 3 years, as it records great activity and weight loss.

## not quite understanding, and hesitate to delete app and reinstall.

## Fitbit support cant help. they suggest: delete and reinstall app; make sure everything charged.

At the moment, I am logging on to fitbit on my big computer through the website and logging my steps by putting in that I did a WALK each day for my 8000 steps or whatever.

If FITBIT Would sync, it would be better.

Any suggestions?   before I throw the fitbit in the bin. 😞

  thank you.

I have done this:

FITBIT APP on iphone

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon (User-added image).
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.
  4. I get a code that appears on the FITBIT ONE, so I type THIS code into the app, where it asks.
  5. then I ALWAYS get the error message:  the operation couldnt be completed (com.fitbit.HTTP ERROR 400)     This happens OVER AND OVER AND OVER, no matter how many codes I get.   ANY ADVICE ON WHAT TO DO NEXT?

OK, Have managed to .. on the desktop computer, download the FITBIT Software, and get halfway through setting up FITBIT ONE.

It now asks for a DONGLE, and I dont think the previous person Mailed one to me.

WHERE CAN I GET A DONGLE? Any thoughts?

seeing that I cant get the FITBIT ONE.. to connect via the APP on the iphone... because I keep getting error code 400

Fitbit sells the dongle: https://www.fitbit.com/shop/accessories/wireless-sync-dongle

There are also plenty for sale on Amazon.com.

But, what software is running on your desktop computer? You only need the dongle if the computer has Windows 7 or doesn't have bluetooth, I believe. That is, I don't need one on my Mac, and if you have Windows 10 you shouldn't need one with the Fitbit Windows app.
