Purchased a ONE , battery had to be charged. Charged with no problem but shows 10,270 steps. Does this mean it is a used unit? Is this typical & just requires a reset or does it indicate a used unit? I'm leary as the shipping from Amazon was totally messed up; ordered on the 7th (Prime) never received shipping notice but this a.m. e-mail from Amazon saying shipping was delayed , tried to cancel, then received e-mail could not be cancelled as was being shipped., then text message it was delivered by post yesterday!

Wow @lessplusmore, this sounds pretty weird. I mean, your tracker may record certain amount of steps even if you are not using it but you were just carrying it or for example when it was delivered, on the road it recorded the movement as steps, but 10,270 is a huge amount.

But don't worry, this can be fixed, just followed the steps on this post to negate the steps that were recorded and you can start from zero to track your data.

Let me know how it goes! Robot LOL

Thanks for the reply. It reset over night. Went for a 4 mi walk, on return reviewing info on ONE showed no active minutes & 750 calories burned. This was comparable with my zip (minus active minutes). Walked around outside doing a few chores, about 2000 steps. Synced & calories burned jumped to 1048 & active minutes 45. No way. I use trackers as a gauge of my day to day output so I don't go crazy over small discrepancies but I'm not having any confidence in this ONE.

Was you last walk more intense than the previous one? 'cause remember that your active minutes are calculated based on the intensity and the duration of your exercise. That is why I'm asking because it seems pretty weird that your One suddenly gave 45 active minutes, at least the activity you were doing change changed on the intensity.

In this case what I suggest you to is taking a look into this post, which has information about how the active minutes are earned. In addition, I would like you to perform a restart of your One and use it for a few days and let me know how it goes!

Just a thought, when you set up the One, was there steps already recorded from the Zip in this day? Could those 10270 steps have been transferred from the Zio to the new One?

@Rich_Laue good question! It is not that the steps recorded by the Zip were transferred to the One, they just were transferred to the account, because once you sync, your steps should be there no matter if you replace the Zip with the One or just add the One to the Fitbit account without replacing the previous tracker,

@HeydyF i only aaked because if my account has 5000 steps on it, and i add a new tracker. After the setup process and the automatic sync this newly added tracker displays the 5000 steps that was recorded previously by the other tracker.
