So I have tried to sync numerous times this week and nothing happnes. I deleted the app from my ipone 6, then reinstalled it. Didn't do anything. I deleted the app from my mac book twice. I tried "sync now" it's still looking. I tried set up a new device"" didn't work. I notice that on the top of my computer screen where the fitbit icon is the first 3 areas are grayed out: wirelss sync dongle connected; sync now; open main menu
I put the dongle into a different port, nothing changed.
I followed directions posted online May 16, 2016 about troubleshooting . I have tried to force sync my fit bit.
The fit bit itself works and counts my steps - it just isn't communicating with my iphone or macbook.
Any other ideas?

Have you tried restarting your fitbit using this procedure:

If so, how many times did you try it? It's known to not always work so it's recommended to try it at least 3 times.

Make sure you choose "One" for the instructions.

The only other thing I did was to remove the app and just use the website as I thought there might be a conflict. Otherwise I would put in an official ticket, or call support.
I had this problem one other time last fall when they did a firmware upgrade. I had to use my phone app and manually sync. When I see a bunch of devices quit working about the same time I suspect another "upgrade".
Good luck!
