To solve it and save your data:
1- update your app
2- put your one in the charger
3- go to this screen and tap on “add a device.” It will alert you that you already have a One device. Don’t worry, continue on.
4- with your device still in the charger, press and hold the button like it instructs to get the 4 digit code. Continue following instructions. The One will somehow reset with the app and start to sync again, and your data should be there from the last few days.
(do not “remove this device” first. Simply “add new device” and then add the same One you’ve been using all along)
Thanks, I think that worked. The app says it is still gathering my data, so I guess only time will tell. I have thought about upgrading, but I really like not having to charge it every other day or worrying about it getting wet or ruined from water usage. I will stick with my "One" as long as I can!
I have done this sooo many times. Sometimes it takes over 12 hours to work... so my Fitbit will have me at 10,000 steps, but only 1,800 will be logged in.
used to use a Fitbit one for a year or more without problems, but this is my 4th in one year- ridiculous
Me too!! I bought two devices in October and December of 2013 (lost the first one but got it back). The #1 needed charging every second day over the last two months and yesterday I started using #2. I've had trouble syncing with my iPhone or my iPad and the iPad usually synced first. I just checked and now the iPhone has finally synced. I'm getting a little panicky because I much prefer the One that I wear on my waist band and I know #2 isn't going to last long. With what will I replace it?
I believe the Inspire 2 is the most similar. A user said it’s a little fatter and doesn’t track floors. It comes with wristband, but they sell waist clips for it. I’ll miss the floors tracker though. That’s a great feature.
yes, a bummer to have move on from the One.
I tried replacing my One on the app but it didn't request a 4 digit code like you said it would
