One Display Not Working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi. I have a fitbit One that works but the display does not.  I'm trying to set it up and it asks for the 4 digit number on the display. Is there any way of getting past that.

Thanks

I don't think there's a way round that.

Have you tried restarting the fitbit in the hope of getting the display working again? Here's how:

  1. Plug your charging cable into your computer.
  2. Plug your Fitbit One tracker into the charging cable, making sure that the gold contacts on your tracker align with the gold contacts in the inside of the charger.
  3. Hold down your tracker's button for 10-12 seconds.
  4. Remove your tracker from the charging cable and press its button until the screen turns on.

Yes I’ve done that many time and I know the display is not working. I did have the One set up on my phone when the display stopped working so I was able to still use it.  Now I have a new Fitbit and wanted to set it up on another phone but without the display I can’t get the code to complete the setup. Thank you for the replies but I don’t think I’ll be able to set it up.

My One quit displaying today. I was able to use the restart as directed below. It worked and I now have my display back.

I have tried the restart but to no avail.  Is there anything else I could try?

The restart has always worked for me. I dread the day my One finally breaks. I don't think the watches are as accurate as the One clipped to my waistband.LoriSent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Hello SantiR,

I have exactly the same issue with my Fitbit One.

I've tried all the steps described by SteveH. Unfortunately, nothing worked.

When I put it on charge through the PC the message appear on the screen Fitbit 6.64 and the battery is fully charged. It doesn't sync anymore either.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm afraid the battery is dead. 😞

I recently lost mine after 6 years but I could tell that the battery was weakening because it was losing its charge erratically. I felt like I lost a part of me.

Luckily I had a brand new spare (back of box said 2012) and when I charged it, it acted like it had a full battery and displayed the fitbit 6.46 but once I disconnected it from the charger, it was dead. I figured the battery drained since it's been sitting around for 6 years. I was devastated.

I gave in and purchased a new one off of Ebay for $130 (gulp! but there are alot pricier ones) but made it sure it wasn't a 2012 one - I bought a 2015. That is still 4 years old but so far so good. I am hoping to get 3 years out of it.

I now attach a pedometer lanyard to it and clip it to my pocket.  If you buy a One off of Ebay, make sure you buy one that is more recent and you'll get a few years out of it.

I also purchased the now discontinued Alta HR which can be used with a third party clip. It's like the One but with more features. The Inspire which replaced the Alta can also be used with the clip but I liked the Alta because it's thinner and sleeker.

We sure love our Ones!!! Hard to understand why it was discontinued.
