At the gym today. Hadn't done many steps and had just gotten off the stair master- which Fitbit ONe didn't record steps. On the treadmill and synced to discover it had jumped ahead by about one hundred thousand steps????? Really confused as to what is happening.

Hi there @MickeyR. Good to see you in the Community! 🙂

And wow... I dont think that's even humanly possible Smiley Surprised

Since that's not something that your tracker should be doing, I would recommend restarting your Fitbit One by putting it to charge and while it's charging, to press and hold the button for 10-15 seconds and it will turn off. You can just press the button again to turn it back on. Then, try it out for the next days and see if it works fine after that.

If your tracker continues to count a high amount of steps again, let me know and I'll be happy to help!

Mine is doing the same thing. Yesterday it counted it over 30K steps (not at all possible) and then did not restart over last night but continued counting so now I am up to 41K steps. Tried your solution above about doing a restart while being plugged into the charger and that did not work.
