Did you seriously just ordered a brand new Fitbit One off REI on 8/31? I did a search just now and didn't find it.

i'm glad i checked back in this forum as I saw someone talk about using the Alta with a Alta clip from amazon and turned it into a decent replacement for One. I'm going to try and do that now. My 3.5yr old Fitbit One's battery started crapping out late last year and i've tried the (crappy) Zip and have put up with the wrist-based Garmin Vivosmart wristband for months. While i appreciate the addition of notification, I hated how inaccurate it is! crossing my fingers the alta + clip works out

@domatau Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for sharing the experience you have had with Fitbit devices.
That is interesting; even though Fitbit Alta is designed to be worn on the wrist, it may work with the clip. Please try it out and let me know the results. I'm interested to know.
@osin Let me know how the One works once you receive it and set it up. ![]()

Received Fitbit One on Friday, 9/07. Set it up . It works great, like my previous One prior to that 6.64 software version. I am so glad 😁.

Got the Alta today along with the clip from Amazon. After charging and updating the firmware, I'm using it in my pocket. Accuracy appears to be close to One from what I remembered. I've disabled notifications like calls/text. Will see if this lasts at least one week (hoping for 2) but so far so good!

@osin Thanks for your reply and your update. I'm really glad to read that your new One is working great and that you are back on track now. Keep up the good stepping!
@domatau Thanks for your update as well! I'm glad you received your Alta and that is working properly even in your pocket. Alta battery should last around 5 days. Maybe longer as you disabled notification from it. Remember that constant syncing can also drain battery faster.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted! ![]()
