Yesterday my fitbit one silent alarm didn't go off, last night it wouldn't show me anything on the screen, it would only turn on the sleep timer. This morning after I turned off the sleep timer and synced it, it didn't log anything. I usually do a 4k step jog in the morning but it wont sync to my PC or my phone. I am trying to charge up my partners unused One but so far havent managed to get a charge into it (it hasnt been used for a year) Please give me some advice?
I know my fitbit was bought in 2013, maybe it's just too old now? But my partner got his fitbit just over a year ago, used it a bit then gave up. So why wont that charge on either of our PCs?

Hi, @Nueth , for your Fitbit I would suggest a restart: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/How-do-I-restart-my-tracker . You may need to repeat this two or three times.
For your partner's Fitbit the advice is pretty much the same thing. Many people think their Fitbit is not charging, when in fact the issue is that it is not responding. This is very common if the Fitbit has not been used/ charged for a long period of time. So first plug it in to charge using a known working charger. A cell phone charger that will take a USB cable is ideal. Give it two hours charge. If you prefer to charge using a USB port on a computer, remember that it is unlikely to take charge unless the the computer is awake and active, and also that the port probably needs to be connected to the motherboard of the computer (i.e. not on a hub).
Once you are certain that the One has had two hours charge, try the restart procedure, but be aware that in this case you may need to hold the button for much longer -- up to 20 or 30 seconds. Again, you may need to repeat this 2 or 3 times. Hopefully it will then spring back to life!
Tip: for your Fitbit, if the restart doesn't work, try the technique of holding the button longer.
Let us know if this gets either (or both!) Fitbits going again. Good luck!
