Until finding this discussion today I thought it was just my One having these issues.  Same problems, same time frame.  Has to be a global problem.  Fix it, Fitbit!

I was thinking about going with the Alta HR but kind of Leary. Will there be the same problems with that too. Maybe if I got a decent discount I would think about staying with Fitbit but otherwise I'll have to go with Fitbit competitor

FitBit Ultra comes out next month.

Should anything happen to my One, I may get this one.

Don’t believe you.  I think Fitbit doesn’t give a crap, since they’re discontinuing the ONE.  Really angry that they took this action without any consideration for customers who stuck with them in the beginning.

Same issue and now it won't sinc with my iphone - low battery after a day or so and no syncing - any help or advice?  super frustrating

I can't sync my fitbit one with my iphone any longer.  I can't seem to find any help with this on line.  Anyone have any advice?  Also, device  holds charge for only about 2 days.  thanks

The folks at Fitbit will tell you to go to your fitbit app, the control box on the upper right hand corner, and turn OFF "All Day Sync" to see if that conserves batter life.  I don't think they're working on a fix other than that since they're discontinuing the ONE.

@DEB08 - sync issues are often due to interference from other bluetooth devices (an iPad, or computer, or a different phone) you have synced your One with in the past.  Turn off bluetooth on every other device you've ever synced your One with, then swipe the screen up on your iPhone and put in in airplane mode for about 15 seconds (turns off and resets bluetooth and wifi), take it out of airplane mode, and then try to sync with the One.  (You could also restart your iPhone instead going in and out of Airplane mode.  I usually try resetting by using airplane mode first because it is faster).

Once you get it syncing again you might consider taking the app off other devices you use to sync and use only your iPhone.  Not always convenient, but it simplifies things and makes syncing more reliable.

Regarding the 2-day charge, turn off "all day sync" in the app and it will probably go back to a week or more.

Kate, saying this is high priority for Fitbit is not helping. Clearly, it's not a priority. When a software update impacts major functionality such as battery life and syncing, then fixing it by pushing out an emergency update within a day or two after it becomes clear it's a widespread problem is treating it as a high priority.

Because it takes a couple of days for customers to realize they've been impacted and start contacting support, let's say it takes a week to build momentum. Another couple days for Fitbit to realize they have a major problem on their hands, and a couple more days to fix it, even if that's as simple as restoring the previously working code. I'm going to estimate that the issue should have been fixed within two weeks from the time the buggy update was pushed out.

This thread started on August 18th. That's 5.5 weeks ago. Fitbit is about 3.5 weeks past the "we're treating this as a high priority" date.

As a software developer I think have a pretty good idea what's going on inside Fitbit. The new flagship product, the Ionic, was sent out to the press reviewers and it was publicly reported to be buggy. It's due for release October 1st. All hands are probably working on stabilizing that product rather than expending effort on the discontinued One. Any One customers lost due to this fiasco will hopefully be made up with sales of the much pricier Ionic. It's a business decision. I get it. But it's not a high priority for Fitbit.

However, I would love to be proved wrong. Release a real fix by Friday, the last business day before the Ionic's release. That would prove Fitbit was working on this issue and would make every One owner very happy.

I see a FitBit App update was applied on my iPhone last night 2.40.1 (719) - didn't see anyone post around this on the forum - it has been auto-updated on my iPhone, not yet running iOS 11.

Auto-sync is still off since moving to 2.40 two weeks back.

Can anyone clarify 2.40.1? Was it a patch release to address FitBitOne issues?

Not a high priority if it's taken this long

How can it be a high priority if it's taken this long ? Doesn't seem like it would be that hard . Do you see how many people are going to leave fitbit and with bad mouth the company ? This is a disaster for you

Get a garmin vivofit 3 and take out if band and buy a clip .  Somebody recommended this early .  Amazon also sells a jawbone for 8.99 that I might try

Had a friend who had a Jawbone and wasn't very happy.  Just a heads up!

It's obvious they don't care about their "One" customer base. In my 30 yrs. of business experience this the worst example of how to handle a product problem I've ever seen. When something as significant as this "battery storage" issue arises, a company should try to get out in front of the issue and communicate with their customer base so they know your company cares about them.  Sadly, this is not the way, Fitbit chose to  handle their "storage" issue with customer base.

My One replaced my Vivofit 3.
No way am I changing back to Garmin!

Any update  here .. my One has started behaving erratic after a last update.. not happy.. went from 11 days between charge to fully drained in hours, to not counting properly and strange behavior.  I will not accept the it's getting old as a reason.. it was something sent from Fitbit that caused this.. when is it going to be fixed?
