Switch from Blaze back to One

Greetings!  I used the FitBit One since 2013, then I received the Blaze as a gift in March.  After using the Blaze for a few months I've decided to switch back to the One for all my tracking.  I'd like to continue to wear the Blaze because I like the notifications from my phone and the heart monitor.

A couple of questions:

1.  After I charge the battery on my One and re-associate it with my current account, will my account only show what is on the One up to March, thereby losing all the data from March to now (from when I was using the Blaze)?

2.  Do I need to set up a separate account for the Blaze in order to get notification on my phone?

Thank you!

Here is how I resolved this question:

1.  On my desktop I synched my Blaze to my account to ensure I had the latest tracking info.

2.  After charging my One, I paired it with my account and set it as the primary device on my Windows 10 desktop app.  The One resets to 0, but my account still keeps my data and history. (Somewhere in the forum someone stated that the device holds all the data for your account, but this is incorrect.  As someone else stated in another post, which is correct, is that data is associated to your account/email address and not the device).

3.  I unpaired my Blaze with bluetooth on desktop.

3.  On my phone I logged out of my current Fitbit account.  I created a new Fitbit account (with different email address) using my  phone.  I then paired my Blaze with the new account.  I am receiving notifications.

The upside is I am wearing both devices, each providing the primary benefits I wanted:

--wearing the One which I consider to be a more reliable step tracker;

--wearing the Blaze to get phone notifications/heartrate.

It's not a perfect solution, and there are probably more than a few downsides.  If I want to sync my One with the phone I'll have to logout of my new account and then login to my old account.  This isn't a huge downside for me because I can look at the device instead of my phone, and sync up the One when I arrive home from work.

Thank you!

@logic60 Welcome to the Community! To avoid any issues with your data, I agree with @WendyB that the best solution is to continue using a separate Fitbit account for each tracker.

I also want to clarify that most trackers will store minute-to-minute data for up to seven days, as well as a summary of your data from the past 30 days without syncing. Any historical data that has been synced to your Fitbit account will continue to be saved there.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions. Smiley Happy
