Syncing will not last more than a day

My fitbit would not work so I followed the directions to re-sync and it was fine. The next day I had to re-sync and it was fine again. The next two days, the same thing. So it will sync, it just won't staysynced.

This has happened with my Fitbit One the past two days as well.  I had to manually re-sync it yesterday and again this morning.  Both days it was syncing for a little while in the morning and then just randomly stopped.

I got mine as a Christmas gift in December 2016 so I am wondering if we are just getting to the end of its lifespan?  I hope not as I love this thing and I am not sure I am ready to commit to a full-time wrist-worn device.

I think you might be right about it being an age issue. I don't know why in the world they stopped making the Fitbit One. If I do have to get a new one, I will never wear it on my wrist. I don't like watches, rings, or jewelry of any kind on my hands. I guess I will have to buy the smallest one available and cut off the straps. Oh well, thank you for the answer.

Syncing is the process of sending the data from the fitbit One to the Fitbit server.

Saying that the tracker is not syncing therefore the user had to resync I do not understand. To me the resync procedure would be forcing a sync.

Do you mean that the you went through the add device routine?

It started not syncing recently. I would drag my finger on my phone screen
and it would say looking. It would just keep looking until a message came
up saying device not found. So, to reset my Fitbit One, I would plug it in
just like when charging the battery. When the picture of the battery went
dark, I would hold down the button for 15-20 seconds. Then I would unplug
the Fitbit One and hold the button down for a couple of seconds until the
screen came up as Fitbit 6.64. After all of that, I would drag my finger on
the phone screen again, it would say syncing, and everything worked like
new. If I would try to sync at the end of the day it would not work again,
and I would have to do all of the process over again. This has been going
on well over a week and the same thing happens daily. So, unlike all of the
responses from people who have dying batteries, my battery is fine. It is
the syncing that will not work properly until I go through the entire
process.
