Total Floor Count Resets

For the past few weeks my total floor count resets to 8000 at midnight even though I have the 4000 floor badge and was less than 1000 floors for the 8000 badge. I've tried manual syncing to resolve the issue to no avail. After being on hold with customer service for what seems like hours the issue continues. Has anyone else experienced this issue and resolved it?
