 Hello : herbie4B (Jogger)

Do you have the toggle that it came with? It is black and small it has a square on one end. That is the part you stick into your hard drive on your computer. On the other end of the toggle, you add your Fitbit One inside it should click. It will allow your One to sync. Another way you can see it, when you log into the Fitbit page into the Dashboard section in the upper right hand you will see a green battery shape. Once you connect your ONE into the toggle it will show if your full or half or empty. Now it will charge and light up.This is the toggle, came with ONE FitbitThis is the toggle, came with ONE FitbitToggle put into my USB chargerToggle put into my USB chargerBattery It will tell you full-empty-etc.Battery It will tell you full-empty-etc. The dashboard photo, I couldn't get on here.1 pic- is the toggle that comes with your ONE , this allows it to sync up. 2 pic- is my toggle in my USB charger. 3 pic- Showing you the battery life which allows it to sync up. I hope this helps you, Decaf 2

mbidee that could be the reason, why go thru a new device setting? Wouldn't send it back to the factory setting. Put the smaller part into your hard drivePut the smaller part into your hard driveThis shows it syncing/chargingThis shows it syncing/charging 1 pic on left. Place into your hard drive on your USB charger or Personal Computer. Put the One in the other end once it starts charging go back to your setting and add your info. Any other problems ask customer service or on Facebook. I hope this helps you, Decaf2-Walker.

Hello Talby: Yes, It should still work.  Do you have the Toggle that came with the Fitbit One? If so, put that into the hard drive of your computer, the tall black machine that you use to play your DVD's in or your USB charger. You have 2 slots it would go in the upper slot. This is what the toggle looks like is the 1st  picture. The sliver part goes into your hard drive, your Fit Bit One goes on the other end.The sliver part goes into your hard drive, your Fit Bit One goes on the other end. This is what your battery looks like when charging up. When synced it's full White battery. This is what your battery looks like when charging up. When synced it's full White battery. The 2nd picture is when the whole batter is fully charged. Another way is on your dashboard there is a symbol of a battery when you click on the Grey gear on your upper right side of your dashboard. It's showing you are synced and charging your battery. It will show in neon green it's synced and charged. I hope this helps you Talby.

This time I put my fitbit One on the charger, held the button down and
nothing happened. So, in desperation I took out the dongle and plugged it
in again. This time when I pressed the button on my fitbit, it worked and
was reset. Now it works!!

Good Morning Talby: It's only 1:13 A.M here in Chicago.

I do have a question, why are you pushing down your button when you charge it? Just put the ONE in the end and leave it. It will charge and sync without you touching it. The only time you push the button is for sleep mode and after you wake up having your 8 hours of sleep you push it again it will read 8:08 A.M. That is how it works. And in your settings, you can have it say fun messages like: Keep moving Talby, you can turn that on. I hope this helps you, Decaf 2

YOU are up LATE!!! Thanks for your concern. My Fitbit One was fully charged
already. The last time I had this issue I called Fitbit and the fellow who
walked me through it had me push the button until the numbers flashed. This
time I couldn't get it to do that and that's when I pulled out the dongle
and put it back in (kind of like rebooting I think?)

In any case, it is syncing now. This is a really old Fitbit...their first
one. As for fun messages....I never did anything to set that up. It always
did that from the start on it's own. I've never looked....but I'm guessing
I'd have to do that online?

Thanks again for your concern. My brother and his family live in Chicago &
I did for 7 years until I got married and moved back to Seattle. Now I'm in
the LA area and we are burning up here....113 degrees! That's why I'm still
up. Too hot upstairs to sleep!

Stay well and get some sleep! Thanks again for your concern. 🙂

Good Morning herbie4B:  If you have a hard drive you also have your tiny toggle button. I took pictures.1-2-3-4-5. From Left to right This goes to the bottom of the hard drive- then you add your Fitbit connector in the top part. When you see the battery outline it has been connected and it will sync much faster. I hope this helps you. Decaf2.

I am having this same issue.  It was syncing with my phone app just fine (my FitBit one was purchased in May 2014) and it was syncing with the app in the morning but by evening it my iPhone app could not see my FitBit One.  I was going to do a hard reset but then noticed when I plugged it into the cable connected to my computer that the battery was totally depleted (even though it was still showing info).  I just charged it yesterday evening to full. I wonder if this has anything to do with the problem I'm experiencing.  I have a spare FitBit One that I have never used so I may try to pair that one to see if that solves the problem.  I'm charging the original FitBit One (again) and will try to do the hard reset and see if I can get it to pair.  More later.

And as an immediate follow-up to my comments above, I just noticed that all of a sudden, my data from yesterday synced from my original FitBit One that is currently charging.  I wonder if the batteries in these older devices are reaching the end of their useful life.  Like the rest of you, I'm a FitBit One aficionado and like that I can clip this to my clothes and these older clip-ons have an altimeter.  Last I checked the most recent clip on versions do not.  Anyway, if anything else develops I will share the information.  Enjoy your walk!
