Hello,
So I have finally purchased my first ever activity tracker and I got the One. So far so good, it works and it is good for what it is. I already use it for about 4 days. Just finished reading the manual, but got some questions:
(please state the number of the question you are answering, and I hope you will answer all of them)
1. What is the recommended sync interval? (in the manual they mention once per month, is this enough? I was thinking like once per week at least, however currently I do it every day)
2. Is it possible to log parts of food? Let's say I can scan the barcode of a chocolate bar and I can log that I ate 1,2,3 chocolate bars. What if I ate only 1/2 of the chocolate bar? Can I log that and how?
3. I just tested that starting activity on the phone, does not start activity logging on the One and the opposite - holding device's button 2 secs and it starts to log activity but it does not make the phone to log activity at the same time. So question is - if I have the phone with me and I want to use the One for the steps accuracy, but the phone's GPS for location and distance, how can I combine the two logs (what phone logged and what One logged) into one activity log on the website's dashboard?
Thanks

Question 1: your One can hold up to 7 days of data between syncs. If you go more than 7 days then it starts holding summary data only and hold up to 30 days. So, at least once per week is recommended. Given that the dashboard on the apps and Web will only show the data as it was when you last synced, it makes sense to sync more often than weekly and I would suggest doing it at least once per day.

Hi, @StrayFeral , congratulations on your One!
The answer to Question 3 is start the activity on the phone. When you get home, sync your One. It will give you a map and show your distance using your phone's GPS and it will use the step count from your One (even though it doesn't show that an activity was started on the One).
As for Question 2 I thnk the easiest way would be to create a custom food of 1/2 chocolate bar.
I agree with Steve about syncing. I sync at least twice a day, in the morning to see my sleep, my heartrate and my weight, and in the evening to see my steps.

Question 2: When I'm logging on milk, for example, I get a dropdown which has several ways to record it (serving, cup, etc.). Choose the one you want to use, and it appears under "how much". Highlight that amount and change the number to what you ate. You can do that with candy bar or anything else and it adjusts the calories. (I just checked it with a Snickers and it does work for that, too. And, yes, you can use fractions.)
