fitbit not displaying data

I received a fitbit one as a gift and the computer and app say I'm synced but there is no display on the actual fitbit.  it only shows the fitbit 6.60 and the battery symbol.  I've looked at the features page to make sure the steps are on but still nothing.

Try a restart. Do it at least 3 times.
