unused fitbit one

I found a fitbit one when doing some cleaning.  I have one, but was given one and kept it as an extra.  I can only get the fitbit firmware to show in the screen 6.46, and it shows a full battery charge, but nothing else will show in the display.  I tried to see if it would update, but I can't find how to do it.  I have tried to do the reset until my fingers cramped.  

Any ideas?  My husband has finally taken an interest in exercising and keeps borrowing mine!

If it hasn't been charged in a long time it will deplete the battery and it can not be charged at all anymore

You can try these steps but I have my doubts it will work

Please clean the contacts

Then Do a Restart

So even thought it shows a full charge, it isn't charged?

Is it keeping the charge?

Do a restart and try setting up the fitbit again. Sometimes it takes a few restarts to get it going

@tlva734   The 6.64 you see is the firmware version of that Fitbit One.  According to this Help article, that is the current firmware, so it does not need to be updated.  The only way to see how well it will work and hold a charge is for your husband to set up his own account and see what happens.

The fitbit is on 6.46.  I had setup my husband on his own account and it saw the fitbit to give it a code and complete the setup, but failed on the update after trying it a few times, I gave up.

Like I said, it see the fitbit to give it a code and when I installed it, it briefly flashed steps in the display, while it was still connected to the PC, but when I took it off, nothing will come up in the display.  I did try a reset a few times and the setup 2x, it see it every time, but as soon as I take it off the PC, the display doesn't work.

If there are any other fitbits around like yours. They need to be removed and put at least 30 feet away . They can interfere with each other
