Accidentally turned off auto detect run?

I just got my fitbit charge 3 a few days ago - first fitbit so apologies if I'm being stupid.

Yesterday I went for a run and my fitbit auto detected and just asked me to confirm. At the end I selected finish and then...there was another option that came up on the next screen to stop autodetection (or something similar) and I hit that.

Seems that turned it off altogether as on today's run I had to manually select an activity and the auto pause etc didn't work. I canicross so my dog stops for sniffing etc every so often so the auto pause is really important.

Does anyone know how I turn this feature back on? I've searched online and looked but just can't figure it out.

Thanks in advance,

@LyndaK108  Hello, and welcome to the forums.  I think this is the answer you need.  Go to your exercise app, then go to Run.  Swipe up.  Make sure that Use Phone GPS and Run Detect are On.  Use Phone GPS must be on in order to turn on Run Detect.  Happy running!

@LyndaK108  Do you have Run on your list of Exercise Shortcuts?  On the app dashboard > tap on your Charge 3 icon > scroll down to Exercise Shortcuts.  If Run is not on your list, then use the Edit to remove something you don't use.  Add Run.  When you sync your Charge 3, Run will be on your tracker.
