Battery issues?

Anyone else having battery issues with the charge 2? I bought 2 at the same time, one for me and my fiance. Mine is fine, lasting 5 days maybe more but the other seems to only last 2 days. We've turned off a lot of the automatic stuff and for the most part have the same settings on both. Anyone else had this issue or is it common with the charge 2? I'm still in my 14 days and am just curious if I should swap it out where I purchased it from.

Wow!! My Fitbit Charge 2 is LESS than one month old! In the beginning, it would last 5 days. Now it hardly lasts 24 hours. This is VERY disappointing. I don't use the breathing thing. I only have one alarm set. I don't get many texts or notifications. So, this battery seems to be a dud. I like how this Fitbit runs better than the Garmin Vivofit that I had. I will have to take it back to Best Buy since I bought the warranty.

Also, my son lost his Fitbit Charge 2 because the pins broke on the band and it fell off. Warranty at Best Buy doesn't cover that. Now I am rethinking my review that I left without Best Buy. Disappointed!!

Hey @Justamom2, it is cool to see new members around! Oh! Sounds pretty weird that your Charge 2 is giving you battery issues, I mean, it is only one month old. Smiley Embarassed Beside the fact that you are not using the breathing guide sessions, and only have one alarm set, could you please also take a look at the other tips in this post to make the battery of your tracker lasts longer.

In addition, if it seems like your Charge 2 is like turning off after you just recently charged it, try to restart it.

I turned off the All Day Sync.  I may try the message notifications too.......not sure.  But thanks for your help.  You the best!   😊👌

This worked great!  My Fitbit Charge 2 suddenly was only lasting one day on a full charge.  Made the changes suggested and now it's only going down 5% per day!  Thanks!

Nice to see things to turn off to make battery last long, however, I never did anything to change it--taking up more power than it has in the last nine months.  It has been working just fine as was--until--about a week or so ago!!!  Charge2 showed it was charged, then promptly uncharged in about 2 hours or so.  Very discouraging!!!  I should not have to turn things off that I've been using with no drain. I've made no changes to the watch whatsoever.  IT CHANGED itself!  So discouraged.  Have not even had it a year.

I have recharged and reset more times than I can remember.  An interesting fact I noticed Friday was that it said the battery was charged when I took it out of the charger … now keep this in mind.  The time was wrong on my Fitbit, so I thought resyncing was the answer.  Here is the weird thing--my app said the battery was LOW!  So either it is not charging and says it is … or it is charging but not maintaining.  Nonetheless, I got it to update time, work for about a hour or so after sync … then DEAD again.

Actually, I am tired of messing with it.  Much as I loved the Fitbit while it was working, I guess I will go digging around for my Samsung Gear to go along with the new phone which should arrive today.

I had not worn a watch for years 'til I got the Fitbit, now I am MISSING and LOST without a darn watch!  Although I am a long way from being in shape, it did motivate me to get moving. I am hesitant to purchase another Fitbit as this one did not even last a full year!

My Fitbit is past the warranty period but I had reached out to Customer Service already. They sent me an email to try this and that. I didn’t take the time to to all those steps. My Fitbit 2 charge now lasts from about 12 hours. Doubtful I’ll be getting another one in the future. Very disappointed in the product.

So basically you are suggesting that you stop using all the things that make this fitbit great?  How is this a fix?

I have a charge 2 and my battery has suddenly gone from lasting ages to not even 2 days its frustrating I have let it run out completely and then recharge but that doesn't work either

So after two years, I’m still getting responses or comments about battery issues. That means the original problem with Fitbit’s hasn’t changed. That’s sad. Having said that, I took my watch back to Best Buy and got a new watch. They didn’t have the same one and wanted to charge me for an upgrade which I told them was BS because I bought the warranty. Then they ‘found’ my same Charge 2 in a different color and got the exchange. 🙄 I haven’t had a problem in two years w my current Charge 2. My son’s watch that he lost because the pins in the band broke. I contacted Fitbit directly and they exchanged the watch for free! Even though it had been months since the watch was lost.

SO, bottom line - If you have issues with your Fitbit, and you’ve tried all the normal things to fix it. If it still doesn’t work, contact the place you bought it OR contact Fitbit Customer Service. The End.
