Can the display brightness be adjusted? My Charge 3 is not bright enough in normal lighting settings.

@Lachristie7921 Hello and welcome! On the Charge 3, swipe to the left until you see the "Settings" app. Tap on "Settings" and Brightness Settings should be your first option. Tap on "Brightness" to cycle through the options.
You only have three options for brightness: dim, auto, and normal. I keep mine on Normal, as I like a bright screen.
Hope this helps!

A warm welcome to the Community @Lachristie7921 and @Heather-S thanks for the input.
If your tracker brightness is too dim, you can restart it by following the instructions provided in the help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?.
Let me know how it goes. 😊

Hello~ I have a Charge 3 and the display is so dim. It seems to have gotten dimmer over time, and I have the Brightness settings set to Normal. I can barely see the face when I'm inside, and outside forget about it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi @LizzyFitbit and thank you for your response! Actually, I did try to restart it and it didn't help at all. I can't even see the face of my watch AT ALL when I'm outside 😞 Any other ideas?? Is it a bad function of the Charge 3 or is there something wrong with mine?

@Lizzyfitbit - I have the same problem as @misomia7 - my device’s screen is so dim that I cannot see it in bright sunlight. I have restarted it following the directions you provided in answer to other queries. I have even rebooted it with the setting on the device. I have it set to normal, as well, and nothing helps.

Hi @Aneedac, welcome on board.
Thanks for trying to adjust the brightness to manual, and sharing it's behavior. Because the screen is still too dim and if you've not done so, I'd suggest to restart your Charge 3.
Regarding the screen not turning on when moving your wrist, please hold the left button, tap on "Screen Wake" and make sure it's set to "Auto".
I'll be around, so let me know the outcome.

@LizzyFitbit I'm also having the same problem as others regarding the brightness of the screen. Over the last few weeks I've noticed that the screen is getting dimmer and dimmer, and like others, I can not even see the screen when outside.
I also tried restarting the device and it did not help. Any other suggestions or advice is welcome!
Thanks!

@Aneedac Thank you for your response. Unfortunately the restart suggestion has not worked. Is this a Charge 3 issue or an individual device issue? Its really frustrating... Thanks for your continued support!

your advice worked for the screen displaying when i moved my wrist. I have changed the brightness settings to auto, but the screen lighting is becoming dimmer and dimmer all the time....this must be an app issue??

yes i would like to know what fitbit recommend for this. I purchased the fitbit charge 3 at the end of March, and seems to be constant issues...i have to manually do things to calculate sleep etc.... shouldnt be that hard...maybe i should have spent more money on a samsung or apple device, at least i would be able to see the screen!

Hi @Jantonio, it's nice to see you around.
Since the display is black, may I know if you feel a vibration when pressing the left button? If not, I'd suggest to clean the gold contacts on the back of your device and charging cable with a toothbrush and rubbing alcohol. Then please try restarting your Charge 3.
I'll be around, so keep me posted.
